Olly Betts is a Fintech Founder, Investor, and Advisor with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He has successfully launched, scaled, and exited multiple businesses creating B2B and B2C solutions used by millions of consumers worldwide. His latest venture, Version 40, aims to fix the unfairness in financial services by prioritizing the customers. Olly is also the Fintech Sector Director at Founders Factory where he invests in and builds early-stage businesses.

As an advocate and pioneer in the use of open data, Olly founded OpenWkrs to build technology that makes Open Banking work. The mission was to help everyone understand what they can afford to save, invest, borrow, and repay. OpenWrks was acquired by Tink and Exponent Private Equity.

Olly's first startup journey was as a member of the leadership team at TDX Group, where he took the business from startup to a global data and technology company acquired by Equifax for £200m. His passion lies in creating disruptive technology and data products to improve customer experiences in Financial Services, Insurance, Communications, Utilities, and Government. He loves building, leading and developing dynamic teams, products, partnerships, and brands in emerging and fast-growing markets.

Olly holds a Master of Engineering in Design, Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University London. He has also advised McKinsey & Company and Lendoe.
