Mike Slavich, the Director of Sustainability at Warner Bros. Entertainment, has a diverse and impressive background in brand management, marketing, franchise management, and environmental sustainability. Having studied History at the University of California, Los Angeles, Slavich started his career at the Earth Communications Office (ECO), working with advertising professionals on environmental media campaigns. Later, he worked with DreamWorks SKG as a story researcher before joining Steven Spielberg's Starbright Foundation. At Universal Pictures, Slavich directed the Jurassic Park Institute and oversaw brand strategies across the Home Entertainment, Consumer Products, Interactive, Online, Promotions, and Theme Parks divisions. In his current role at Warner Bros., Slavich is responsible for daily operations and long-term strategies of all sustainability programs. He oversees the implementation of waste reduction, energy conservation, environmental procurement, green design, and environmental education and outreach programs.
