Steve Whalley is a seasoned executive within the semiconductor and MEMS/sensor industries, possessing extensive expertise in design, industry initiatives, business strategy, and management. Holding a Bachelor of Science (Honors) from the University of Salford and an International Executive MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Whalley has a technical background in a multitude of semiconductor technologies, including PC, server, smartphone, and tablet platform technologies. He has a deep understanding of computer and sensor-based platform requirements as well as collaborative industry ecosystem building. Additionally, he is comfortable presenting and communicating at all levels of management and large industry audiences.
Whalley has held various positions throughout his career, including Chief Strategy Officer at MEMS & Sensors Industry Group (MSIG), Director of MEMS/Sensors at Intel Corporation, Marketing Manager at Intel Corporation, and Design Engineer, ASICs at Ferranti Electronics. Furthermore, he has served in advisory roles at Lightsense Technologies, Lightsource Holdings, Versana Micro/MIMSE, and ripe.io, as well as Managing Director at Microtech Ventures. Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors at tinyML Foundation.
