Abel Villca Roque is an expert in algorithm design, machine learning, and big data. With over a decade of experience implementing sophisticated digital signal processing algorithms and machine learning systems in IT, biotech, and financial industries, Abel has a strong track record of driving projects to completion under strict government and industry standards.

Abel received his MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and studied computer science and electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) under a full scholarship. During his studies, Abel spent a year at Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a visiting researcher at the Media and Information Laboratories of NEC Corporation in Kawasaki, Japan.

Abel has worked in various positions, including Senior Systems Engineer at Roche Molecular Systems, where he acquired expertise in algorithm development, machine learning, and product development under FDA and CE-mark requirements. Later he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he gained experience in the fields of business strategy, operational excellence, and go-to-market strategy.

Currently, Abel runs Villca Solutions LLC from his office in San Francisco, providing services to clients mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area. Abel is proficient in English, French, and Spanish and is an avid marathon runner.
