Nate Looney
Nate Looney is a veteran turned entrepreneur who has made a name for himself as an advocate for intersectionality and diversity in agriculture. After serving in the military police in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, Nate was deployed to Iraq and upon his return, completed his education at American Jewish University. He founded Westside Urban Gardens in 2015 and has since become a go-to consultant for controlled environment agriculture startups. Nate's expertise in aquaponics, hydroponics, and soil-based backyard farms has made him a sought-after guest speaker and panelist for industry events and universities across the country.
