Joseph Ronzio, DHSc, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, is an accomplished IT professional and healthcare executive who has served in a range of positions across government, academia, and industry. With extensive experience installing, configuring, and administering applications for Fortune 500 corporations, Ronzio has spent his career developing a deep understanding of information technology project management, strategic planning, and technology implementation. Ronzio obtained a DHSc in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, an MBA in Business Administration from Norwich University, and a BA in Justice Studies and Sociology, also from Norwich University. Ronzio's passion for healthcare led him to become a Medical Services Corps Officer in the United States Air Force, where he took advantage of a wealth of healthcare administration training to improve patient care and the customer experience. Ronzio has since worked in government service, including as a Supervisory Health Systems Specialist at the US Navy and as a VISN 20 Health Systems Specialist at the Veterans Administration. He is now the Deputy Chief Technology Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he represents the Principle Deputy Under Secretary and Chief Health Technology Officer. Ronzio is also a former Adjunct Professor at Marymount University and at A.T. Still University.
