Bivas Saha is a renowned Assistant Professor in the field of materials science, combining expertise in electrical engineering, physics, and chemistry. His professional background highlights his academic accomplishments, having received a Ph.D. in materials engineering and nanotechnology from Purdue University, an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, and a B.Sc. in physics from Jadavpur University. He also served as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and as an affiliate at Berkeley Lab.

With a focus on materials science and engineering, he has made significant contributions to solid-state energy conversion and energy-efficient electronics. Dr. Saha's research has demonstrated the first epitaxial single crystalline metal/semiconductor superlattices, which have provided new opportunities for solid-state energy conversion in devices. His work has also focused on developing sub-50 mV mechanical relay switch devices for mechanical computing. Dr. Saha is a recipient of many awards, including the Purdue University College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2014, and the Materials Research Society of USA's outstanding research award in its meeting for Fall-2013. Currently, he works as the Faculty Director of JNCASR Nano-fabrication facility, meeting the intersection of materials science, electrical engineering, physics, and chemistry.
