Hilda Somarriba is a talented publicist and marketer in the film and entertainment industry. With a degree in Political Science and Sociology from Williams College, she started her career as an assistant at MTV Networks before venturing into PR at PMK/HBH. With her vast experience, she founded Prism Media Group in 2008 to serve both general and the Latin market media. Somarriba has represented over 50 films in major international film festivals such as Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, and Toronto. Among her clients were James Wan, Emmett/Furla Films, and Alister Grierson. She has also provided PR for famous telenovelas and specials at Telemundo, Latin and Mexican Billboard Awards, and Teach for America, among others.
Somarriba has worked with several top Hollywood PR agencies and volunteers at St. Jude's Children Hospitals. She has helped with red carpets for several annual fundraisers such as The Go Go Gala, The Cancer Community Center, and The National Women's History Museum. With her extensive background, Somarriba has a keen eye for film distribution and sales companies at film markets and executed PR campaigns at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival for The Forger, and The Cobbler to name a few.
