Kathy K. is an experienced immigration attorney with a focus on immigrant rights, program development and management, training attorneys and law students, strategic planning, and working with non-profit organizations. She has a Juris Doctorate in Law from Southwestern Law School, a BA in Political Science, and a High School Diploma from Ramona Convent Secondary Schl. Kathy has been involved in various organizations and held different advisory and leadership roles throughout her career. She is currently a Legal Services Consultant at Self-employed and has also served as an Advisor to the Removal Defense Clinic and Community Lawyering Clinic at Southwestern Law School. She has also been on the Steering Committee for the Immigration Committee at National Lawyers Guild - Los Angeles Chapter and was a Board Member for the National Lawyers Guild - Los Angeles Chapter. Additionally, Kathy has been a Clinical Adjunct Professor, President of Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance (APAWLA), Staff Attorney and Program Manager for the Pro Bono Removal Defense Program, Law Clerk, Immigration Law Clinic, and President of the Public Interest Law Committee at Southwestern Law School. She has extensive experience in removal defense, impact litigation, and community organizing.
