I started at Airbnb as an individual contributor (IC) software engineer. I led the development of the backend messaging service that went on to power all Airbnb in-app messaging (between guests, host, customer support, etc).Later, as an engineering manager, I built and led a highly successful and resilient team. During the COVID-19 crises, my team clearly stood out for our ability to adapt to changing circumstances, communicate and deliver quality software, and support each other as teams around us fell apart to attrition, lay-offs and frustration.I grew a huge amount personally and professionally at Airbnb.
