She has a decade of experience as a Family Magistrate in West Yorkshire, providing her with a deep understanding of the family legal system. She is the founder of Bright Mediation UK, a team of qualified family mediators offering professional and affordable services. Prior to her mediation career, Melanie specialized in consumer over-indebtedness and credit and fraud policy in the Financial Services Industry, working with prominent firms like HSBC, First Direct, Santander, and GE. With a background in various financial roles and governance positions, including as a non-executive director at organizations like PayPlan, Bradford Citizens Advice Bureau, and Law Centre, Melanie is well-equipped to support clients in financial matters. She currently volunteers as the Treasurer at Guide Dogs -The Otley & Aireborough Group.
