Sanjoy Dey, a research staff member at IBM, has a passion for machine learning in biomedical applications, including healthcare informatics and computational biology. During his studies, he developed novel data mining techniques based on multivariate predictive models, association analysis technique, and clustering, which helped discover relationships among various clinical and genomic factors, incorporating medical knowledge into interpretive models, and customized solutions that accounted for the heterogeneity of samples.

His experience in the field also includes working as a research intern for Robert Bosch Research and Technology Center, developing clustering-based feature extraction techniques, and using association analysis techniques to account for high volumes of missing data in categorical data. He is a former Doctoral Dissertation Fellow, Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Computational Health at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, and instructor at Stamford University Bangladesh.
