Salvador Orara is a well-versed creative technologist, media designer, and educator. He is known for his expertise in future studies, design thinking, speculative design, critical prototyping, and creative technology. Salvador holds a BFA in Graphic Design from The University of the Arts and an MFA in Media Design from ArtCenter College of Design. He has worked as the Lead UX Researcher, Product Owner, and UX Strategist in Jaguar Land Rover North America, where he led graphic and user experience development. He was also the Founder and Creative Technologist at The Rare Studio, where he focused on the impact of emerging and latent technologies upon the experiences of everyday life and the practice of design. Currently, Salvador serves as the Innovation Professor of Practice and Director of Innovation Programs at the University of Portland. He is also involved in various organizations such as AIGA Portland, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and Woodbury University, to name a few. Salvador's passion for the past, present, and future is exemplified in his works aiming to develop narratives and strategies about the said topics through his creative frameworks.
