Stephanie Walker is an accomplished playwright and award-winning author known for her ability to blend comedy and drama while making political issues personal. With a focus on the resilience of the human spirit, Stephanie's plays have been produced across the world, including her critically acclaimed works such as The Abuelas, The Madres, and Friends with Guns. Her newest play, The Ordeal of Water, is expected to make waves in the theatre world as well.

Stephanie's experience spans from creative problem-solving to clear communication in high-stress situations, making her a valuable team member in any production. Her vast experience in customer service and communication comes from working in the hospitality industry as well as being the box office and subscriptions manager for L.A. Theatre Works. Her multi-tasking ability and creative thinking have been honed through experiences like being on the board of a parent-run co-op preschool, parenting two boys, and collaborating with a multitude of theatre companies and artists worldwide.

Stephanie studied at the University of Southern California and received her Master of Professional Writing in Professional Writing with an emphasis in playwriting. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in English (creative writing) and Spanish at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Stephanie is an active member of various theatre companies such as the Robert A. Freedman Dramatic Agency, Inc., Antaeus Theatre Company, Road Theatre Company, Teatro Vista, Shrewd Productions, Moxie Theatre Company, and the National New Play Network.
