M Chandrasekaran is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the IT and financial services industries. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Kolkata.

Chandrasekaran began his career with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and consulting. He spent over three decades at TCS, rising through the ranks to become the company's CEO and Managing Director in 2009. Under his leadership, TCS became the largest IT services provider in India and one of the most valuable companies in the country. He retired from TCS in 2017.

In addition to his work at TCS, Chandrasekaran serves on the board of several companies, including Tata Sons, India's largest conglomerate. He is also a member of the Indian government's India-UK CEO Forum and the India-Japan Business Leaders Forum. In 2018, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Tata Sons, and is considered one of the most prominent business leaders in India today.

Away from his professional life, Chandrasekaran is known for his interest in music and sports. He is an accomplished mridangam player, a percussion instrument used in Carnatic music, and has performed on several stages. He is also an avid marathon runner, and has completed several long-distance races around the world.
