Cathy Lee is a professional artist and designer specializing in visual arts, traditional and digital art, and multimedia. She graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts Media, where she gained expertise in filmmaking, photography, and graphic design. Cathy’s passion for art has been instilled in her since she was five years old, and she has been heavily influenced by different art forms, including classical fine arts, cartoons, graffiti art, film, and photography. Cathy mixes all her hemp oil paints by hand and builds her stretched hemp canvases, which helps her connect on a deeper level with each piece she creates.

Cathy has worked with many organizations throughout her career. She interned for an LGBTQIA+ non-profit organization, where she helped create and lead neighborhood clean teams of volunteers. She also managed a women-owned small business resource website called HillQuest.com, where she refined her analytical and critical thinking, project management, and organizational skills. Cathy wore many hats when she and a group of like-minded female artists formed an Artisan Guild in 2008 to survive through financial hardships together using creativity. She became the Senior Designer to perform various tasks, including package design, logo design, marketing, promotions, social media, event and trade show planning, web design, animation, video production, and user experience design for almost 13 years.

Cathy combines her two passions: oil painting and hemp, to create unique pieces of artwork. Her expertise in digital design, user experience, layout, typography, animation, and video production has made her a valuable asset to any team. Cathy is quick to adapt to any situation and provides an excellent contribution to any creative, multimedia art process, and team collaboration.
