Laurens Tijsseling is a sustainability manager at Minviro with an extensive educational background in engineering physics, mining and mineral engineering from prestigious universities like Delft University of Technology, Aalto University, and RWTH Aachen University. He is passionate about providing minimum impact raw materials for mining, metals, and minerals projects in the design and/or operational phase with a focus on technology materials such as rare earth elements, copper, manganese, graphite and cobalt. Laurens has experience as a process engineer at Sibelco Group and as a postgraduate researcher at University of Exeter, where he worked with Camborne School of Mines. Other roles that he has held are that of an intern at Royal IHC and public relations team member at TU Delft. He has also been involved in extracurricular activities like being the president of the board at StudieVerenigingenRaad and maintenance committee member at K.S.V. Sanctus Virgilius. In addition to his professional achievements, he has also worked as a part-time high school teacher at Inwijs.
