Rajesh Sehgal, CFA

Rajesh Sehgal is a highly experienced long-term investor with over two decades of experience managing investments across emerging markets. He has a deep understanding of various industries and businesses, which he has gained from years of on-the-ground experience. Sehgal is a CFA charter holder, a Wharton alumni, and a graduate of XLRI management school with specialisation in finance and marketing. In addition, he holds a post-graduate diploma in securities law from Mumbai University, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Mumbai. His interest in physics remains strong, and he draws inspiration from it for his company, Equanimity Investments, which he runs as a managing partner.

Sehgal has served on the boards of several companies, including Apar Industries Limited, Globus Spirits, and TiE Mumbai. He has also been a member of the Corporate Reporting Users' Forum and Angel Investor at Mumbai Angels. In his former role as the Senior Executive Director and Head of Private Equity at Franklin Templeton India, Sehgal managed private equity funds in South Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Prior to that, he was the Manager of the Treasury and Investments Group and Deputy Manager of Corporate Finance at SBI Capital Markets.

When not working, Sehgal enjoys playing chess and golf. His passion, however, lies in mentoring entrepreneurs and management teams in achieving commercial success while making a positive impact on the world.
