Karel Smith is a business and technology consultant with a passion for bridging the gap between the two. With a degree in Business Administration and Management from Hogeschool van Utrecht, Karel's expertise lies in finding connections between seemingly unrelated aspects of a project and addressing the details that can make or break it. He excels at working with others, yet makes tough decisions when required, and he isn't afraid to approach difficult subjects. Karel possesses a particular interest in two areas: Common Ground developments in municipal government and Process Mining for analyzing data. Previously a consultant for O&i, a member of the Knowledge Center for Business Management at Rabobank, and an intern for Ballast Nedam, Karel has accrued a wealth of background experiences to draw from. And, as a former employee in SNS Bank's Arrears Management department, he also has a better understanding of managing customer expectations.
