Andrzej Dabkowski is an OPML Country Lead for Indonesia at Oxford Policy Management (OPM), being responsible for business development and delivery of OPML's work in Indonesia and the surrounding region.

With a background as an experienced market development specialist and a PRINCE2 Practitioner-qualified programme manager, Andrzej has a significant track record managing donor-funded programmes in complex and politically sensitive environments.

His expertise lies in market systems development and facilitating local economic development (LED), focusing on supporting the transition of local economies towards more private-sector driven development.

Throughout his career, Andrzej has been involved in managing multi-disciplinary teams in complex environments, emphasizing cross-cutting issues such as youth and women, climate change and resilience, political economy, and conflict analysis to deliver effective development programming.

From late 2017 to January 2019, Andrzej was a PSD expert and senior manager of DFID DRC’s Decision Support Unit, where he played a key role in enhancing the effectiveness of DFID DRC’s £100m Private Sector Development Programme through various evaluation and learning activities.

Before joining OPM, Andrzej oversaw a portfolio of Business Enabling Environment (BEE) and advocacy programmes for Danida and DFID, focusing on building private sector capacity for successful policy dialogue and improving the investment climate.

His work experience spans across various countries including China, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Indonesia, Ireland, Kenya, Mozambique, Poland, Tanzania, and the UK.

Andrzej's educational background includes studies in MEconSc, PhD in Economics, HDip in Economics, and BSocSc from University College Cork and Uniwersytet Warszawski (University of Warsaw).
