Slava Turyshev
Slava G. Turyshev is an accomplished physicist and astronomer with extensive research experience spanning over three decades. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from Kharkov State University in Ukraine in 1986, and subsequently joined NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) as a research scientist. During his tenure at JPL, he has made significant contributions in various missions and projects, including the Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE), the Gravity Probe B mission, and the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission. He is also known for his work on the Pioneer Anomaly, a phenomenon that has puzzled scientists since the 1980s, and for his efforts to measure the gravitational constant with increasing accuracy, which could shed light on the nature of gravity and the universe itself. Apart from his scientific accomplishments, Turyshev is also a dedicated teacher and mentor, and has supervised numerous graduate and postdoctoral students throughout his career. His expertise and contributions have earned him numerous awards and honors, including the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal and the Yuri Gagarin Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Space Research.
