Dr. Greg Walker is a seasoned higher education leader and governor, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of MillionPlus, a prestigious UK HE mission group. With a background in public policy, he has had a successful career in UK politics and government at Westminster and devolved governance in the National Assembly for Wales. His generic transferable skills include strategic leadership, team working, higher education, stakeholder management, and program management. Dr. Walker has completed an MBA and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from UCL and the University of London, respectively. Additionally, he has a Doctor of Philosophy in Cardiff School of European Languages, Translation & Politics from Cardiff University.

As Head of Sector Agency Implementation at Universities UK and Chief Executive (Interim) at Colleges Wales, Dr. Walker has demonstrated his expertise in many areas, including policy advising and implementation. He has been a council member (trustee) at The Open University and served as deputy chief executive at Colleges Wales. Dr. Walker has also been a committee member at Higher Education Funding Council for Wales, a policy adviser at RCN Wales, and a policy officer at National Assembly for Wales.

With his academic experience as a university lecturer and publishing several articles in international peer-reviewed journals on public policy issues, Dr. Walker's expertise in higher education and leadership has enabled him to complete crucial seven-month projects with the Welsh Government. Dr. Walker edited the final report of the Diamond Review, drafting sections of the report, while leading a work strand within the review on higher technical education.
