Avinesh Pillay is a seasoned executive with over 10 years of experience at Google, where he played key roles in driving growth and expanding the company's business in Africa and North America. He holds an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand and has completed additional leadership and administration courses at the London Business School. Before joining Google, Avinesh worked with several major mobile industry players, including Vodacom, Ericsson, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson.

At Google, Avinesh served as Head of Cloud Partners and Channel for Sub-Saharan Africa, where he had to ensure that the partner ecosystem was skilled and equipped to serve the growing demand for Google Cloud services in the region. In his current role as Strategic Partner Manager - Distribution in New York, Avinesh is responsible for supporting and growing the company's North American Strategic Distributors with driving Google products at scale.

Avinesh is a former board member of Cape Town Tourism and a seasoned industry manager, account manager, and product marketing manager. He brings a wealth of expertise to his current role, and his previous experience in various mobile industry roles enables him to understand the needs and challenges of Google's customers better.
