Kent Dicks
Kent E. Dicks is a seasoned entrepreneur with a noteworthy career spanning 35+ years, known for his dynamic and strategic leadership in emerging markets. He is highly respected as a thought leader in the Mobile and Digital Health space. After founding MedApps, Dicks led a dedicated team that revolutionized telehealth systems with patient-centered mobile health solutions. He addressed the needs of the chronic care population to keep them healthy with custom solutions that decreased hospital readmissions and costs. His new lighter and less costly solutions were disruptive to the large established players in the remote monitoring space, and proved effective in supplying near-real time biometric data to providers and EMRs, maximizing professional resources, keeping costs low and, most importantly, increasing patient engagement and adherence.
Dicks's experience in the digital health service industry led him to found yet another well-received company, Life365, where he is currently the CEO, president, and chairman. At Life365, Dicks and his team developed a groundbreaking Digital Health as a Service (DHaaS) software platform, which enables Integration, Alignment, and Engagement of Digital Health solutions with patients outside of hospitals. The whole idea behind Life365 was to maximize adherence, quality of care, and ROI. Thanks to his extensive experience in the digital health service industry, Mr. Dicks has become a respected leader in this growing field.
Before his significant contributions to digital health, Dicks studied Computer Information Systems at Arizona State University and Business at Phoenix College. He has held many positions, including Chief Executive Officer, President, Chairman, and Founder, at Alere / Alere Connect and MedApps, Inc. Additionally, he was formerly a Member of the Phoenix Business Journal Leadership Trust, Co-Chair of the Medtech Roundtable at Arizona Technology Council, and a Senior Consultant, Lead Programmer, and Programmer at American Express and Texas Instruments, respectively.
