Catherine Bruce is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse and extensive background in the fields of history, democracy, justice, and communication. With a bachelor's degree dual major from Agnes Scott College and a master's degree from the University of South Carolina, Catherine has a strong academic background to support her professional expertise. She has also completed ABD (All but dissertation) coursework in her pursuit of a doctoral degree. Her international experience is impressive, having had observer status at the World Summit for the Information Society and presenting at a conference for International Norms in France. Catherine has served in various positions such as political organizer/assistant to senior advisor for Tom Steyer 2020, state director at Black Voters Matter, and assistant director of programming at the South Carolina Humanities Council. She has also been a visiting instructor at Claflin University and is an active member of two international organizations for research and communication. Catherine is committed to local, state, and international programs based on history, democracy, justice, and communication.
