Developer working with a small, remote team building a marketplace for high quality, original written content built on a crowdsourcing model for writing and grading. Primary technologies included working with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, MySQL and Resque.I focused a great deal on working with Amazon Mechanical Turk and building out interfaces and processes to help source high quality content by splitting up writing tasks into a pipeline of various writers, copy-editors, graders, and automated quality and plagiarism detection as well as helping clients with high volume needs build a tailored writer group for higher quality results.

Rails development and networked vending machine integration for a local stealth startup. Development was primarily Ruby and Rails developing a custom CMS, inventory, and management tools on the web. Was brought in primarily to develop a server for connecting to remote networked vending machines using a multi-step authentication and transaction API built for C data structures which I integrated with their inventory system and Rails application.
