Raphael Schaad is an accomplished software designer and engineer with a strong academic background. He holds a Master's degree in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he achieved a GPA of 5.0/5.0. Raphael is also a graduate of Y Combinator's startup accelerator W20 batch and has completed cross-registration in Launching Technology Ventures at Harvard Business School.
Before joining Notion's team, Raphael founded and served as the CEO of Cron, a company focused on simplifying job scheduling. His experience in software design and engineering stretches across different countries, including working at Flipboard Inc., Information Architects Tokyo, and Schaad Consulting. Raphael has also worked as a researcher at MIT Media Lab.
Raphael is currently the head of Cron at Notion, where he continues to shape the future of job automation. He brings his expertise in software design, engineering, and entrepreneurship to the role, leveraging his past experiences to provide business solutions that challenge the current market.
