Matthew Weaver is a results-driven research analyst and gerontology expert, currently working for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. His focus is on Managed Care Plans within the Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group. Dr. Weaver offers guidance on operational aspects of Medicaid managed care programs and provides support to states on technical and regulatory issues. He is an expert in Medicaid waivers, state plan amendments, and is responsible for collaboration with different CMS divisions. Furthermore, he volunteers with the United Way of Central Maryland, where he is working on the system analysis of their 2-1-1 Information and Referral software. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Applied Gerontology from the University of North Texas, an M.A. in Community Counseling from Argosy University Atlanta, and a B.S. in Psychology/Gerontology from Kennesaw State University.
