Kate Rees Davies is an accomplished and award-winning director of narrative features, short films, music videos, and commercials from the United States of America. She studied directing at UCLA and is now a Professor of Directing there as well. Kate has directed six short films that have screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner, with some films even picking up distribution. Her feature film, "Altered Perception," is currently streaming on Amazon and was nominated for a DGA Newcomers Award last year. Kate recently served as a shadowing director on Amazon's Transparent, where she worked under the mentorship of Jill Soloway. She also has multiple shows in development, including an eight-part miniseries and a period drama. Kate works as the founder of the New Hollywood Collective, an inclusion initiative that provides workshops for its members to develop, finance, and produce short-form and proof-of-concept content to reach new levels of success.
