Rationalized the company financials to view the operations by business units and developed analyses to optimize the investment in the various business sectors and plans for future growth areas and acquisitions.Prepared Peer Analytics to formulate strategic direction on investment for the various sectors.Closed three acquisitions, inclusive of valuation, diligence, documentation and successfully integrated them into current operations.Installed a Business Intelligence System that has become the source for all the company’s internal management information including: Financial Consolidation & Audit, Monthly Financial & Operational Reporting, Budgeting and Long Range Planning, Revenue Analysis- monitoring price increase and renewal rates, Headcount Analysis- monitoring facility planning, bonuses, commissions, and department efficiencies.

SNL Financial

Orchestrated the formation of the company from Private equity funding along with negotiations of several Acquisitions that formed the company.Changed the financial model from a perpetual license model to an annuity model including term licensing and ASP operations.Built a financial function in the US from a zero base and transferred the entire function from the UK, which included a two year audit and an accounting change from UK to US GAAP.Implemented a Business intelligence system to convert an Excel based system to a more robust reporting, analysis, and modeling function that would accommodate acquisitions easily.

Orchestrated a sale of the company for a revenue multiple of 5.5 and an EBITDA multiple of 25 to a $25 billion public company.Negotiated Financing arrangements for the purchase of Acquisition Candidates.  Responsible for the Financial, Legal, IT, and Consulting Services functions.Responsible for the Strategic negotiations in all major Sales, Business Development, Vendor and Acquisition contracts.Implemented systems to improve Finance and Consulting operations and contract management.

HSS Inc

Dual role consisting of the CFO duties (Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology (IT), Product Distribution, and Facilities) and responsibility for the Hedge and Family Office Business Unit (Consulting, Client Support, R&D, and Sales).Assimilated several acquisitions into the SS&C mainstream operation.  This included finance, facilities and product distribution operations.Responsible for investing $60 million in surplus cash.Developed and implemented a Strategic and Operating planning process, including a benchmarking study which led to my direct management of a program that increased the margins in the consulting business by 10 PointsImplemented a new G/L and Business Intelligence system with Business unit reporting, time tracking and CRM systems to improve billing and provide operational analysis for consulting, client support, R&D and sales operations.Conduct quarterly earnings conference calls with analysts, including public speaking at several Technology Conferences.

SS&C Technologies

Integral part of management team that grew a start up company from $800 thousand in 1983 to $300 million in 1995.  Led the project to acquire and assimilate our largest distributor in 1986.Coordinated the Initial Public Offering with the Investment Bankers, Lawyers, and Accountants in 1987.Led operational assimilation of a $210 million acquisition and Quasi-Reorganization of a three way merger. Combined & sized 45 sales offices and 7 regions in order to achieve optimum market penetration and profit. Responsible for a leasing program that produces $30 million in leases annually.Responsible for manufacturing of an in-house facility producing $12 million annually and outside vendors purchases of $45 million annually.Built a finance organization from a start-up department to an organization that included six regional offices responsible for G/L, Inventory, Receivables, and to ensure controls on the Sales, Bookings and Cash Process.  Extensive experience in financial and business planning, modeling, acquisition analysis and contract negotiations. Responsible for Human Resources and Investor Relations, including presentations in a public speaking environment. Integral member of negotiation team in two major divestitures of the company. Developed and implemented separate plans which reduced inventory by $10 million and increased service margins by six margin points.
