    coordination of benefits.
•   Ensured consistent interpretation, application and support of company policies & practices through
    sound effective advice and direction to Management and Employees. 
•   Facilitated managerial decision-making by providing timely information and guidance to Management    
    regarding federal, and state laws and regulations, as well as significant developments, trends, and   
    changes effecting the employment function. 
•   Successfully downsized and reallocated resources to fit business requirements.

Sr. Manager, HR Strategic Business, Employee Relations

•  Provided advice and coaching to both Managers and Employees on a variety of employment-related
    issues; performance and behavior problems, interpretation and application of HR policies and
    procedures, job development and career counseling, harassment and discrimination claims.
•  Managed downsizing actions; discussions and documentation of business case with management
   (including review of individual selections), calculation of severance, and completion of necessary
   documentation. 
•  Ensured a strategic partnership with business lines by building relationships, trust, alliances, and adding
    value by partnering with the business to align HR effectively with the decision-making business leads.
•  Revamped employee handbook and restructured HR policies.

Manager, HR Strategic Business, Employee Relations

•  Partnered with local and Senior Management to determine regional staffing requirements in three Canon
   Companies; Canon Business Solutions, Canon US Life Sciences, and Canon’s Government Marketing
   Division.
•  Provided advice and coaching to Managers and to employees on a variety of employment relatedissues;
   performance and behavior problems. 
•  Coached Managers on handling disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings and 
    termination decisions. 
•  Managed all downsizing actions. 
•  Managed FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and Worker’s Compensation for the Mid-Atlantic Region. 
•  Assessed and determined staff development plans for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
•  Provided coaching to Managers to develop new leadership and partner with Senior Manager’s to develop
   strategic plans for the future. 
•  Participated in the hierarchy and benchmarking project.

Human Resources Manager

•  Responsible for recruiting for Canon’s Government Marketing Division and Canon Business Solutions. 
    Developed an HR Questionnaire to determine HR reputation in the region which provided feedback and
    ways to improve the HR function’s credibility. 
    Responsible for employee relations within the Government Marketing Division. 
    Developed activities to increase awareness regarding Canon’s savings and retirement Plans. 
    Designed and Delivered a Change Management training course based on the book “Who Moved My   
    Cheese” by Dr. Spencer Johnson.

Human Resources Generalist

•   Assessed regional training needs and delivered courses to fulfill those needs. 
•   Administered the  Performance Appraisal Process 
•   Advised Managers on compensation issues including compression analysis, promotion
     requests, as well as merit increase and incentive pay administration. 
•   Evaluated and created job descriptions for Semiconductor, Sales and Administrative positions. 
•   Designed and delivered new hire employee orientation and transition reviews. 
•   Reviewed AAP/EEO goals and compliance. 
•   Successfully prepared and passed an OFCCP audit in 2001.
