Michael Tymn is an accomplished journalist and writer with over 55 years of experience contributing to various newspapers, magazines, journals, and books. He specializes in sports, metaphysical, and human interest features, with extensive experiences interviewing more than 40 Olympians. Tymn graduated from San Jose State University's School of Journalism in 1958 and later served as a public affairs officer in the Marine Corps. He won the Silver Anvil presented by the American Public Relations Association in 1960. Following his military career, he worked in the insurance industry and held professional designations of Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC). Tymn's books include "The Articulate Dead," "The Afterlife Revealed," "Transcending the Titanic," "The Afterlife Explorers," and "Resurrecting Leonora Piper." His extensive insurance experience gave him broad exposure to many disciplines, particularly law and medicine. He taught insurance for seven years at the University of Hawaii and served as a special arbitrator for Arbitration Forums, Inc. Mike now lives in Kailua, Hawaii, with his wife, the former Gina Bernard, and his family.
