His previous ventures include founding the multi-unit Matchbox Food Group in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas, where he built top-line revenue to over $40 million. In 2016, Perry founded The Avalon Institute with USAF General John E. Michel (Ret.). Alongside his team of successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, division 1 athletes, current and retired military personnel, and academics, Perry continues to assist and invest in small businesses and startups.
