Kunal Mehta, a former equities trader at Nomura Securities, is now a Principal with Hearst Ventures, where he is responsible for the group's healthcare investments. He is also the author of Finding Genius and Disruptors, in which he interviews venture capitalists and profiles entrepreneurs behind game-changing companies. Kunal graduated from NYU Stern School of Business and was part of the J.P. Morgan Smart Start scholarship program, offering him a full college scholarship with annual rotations at the firm. He transitioned away from Wall Street to work in finance and investment in charity: water, Purpose, and Incandescent, and co-founded Unfold, a socially-powered mobile application for content sharing.
