William Vaughan

William Vaughan is the Director of Technology Transfer at Colorado School of Mines, where he oversees the management of the institution's technology portfolio, involving market evaluation, marketing, deal negotiation, and license diligence.

With a background that includes positions at Ohio State University and the Governor's Office of the State of Ohio, William has extensive experience in government relations, negotiations, market evaluation, and start-up formation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Science Education and Public Policy from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Marietta College.

William Vaughan's professional journey has seen him serve as a Business Development Manager at Tech. Licensing/Ohio State University, an Executive Assistant for Science and Technology at the Office of the Governor, State of Ohio, in addition to his current role at Colorado School of Mines.
