Manage and oversee all operations of the Animal Care Center and Emergency Rescue Center and over 40 staff members, including Animal Care Supervisors, Veterinary Techs and Assistants, Animal Care Specialists, and Veterinarians. Tasks include:- Writing and implementing SOP’s to ensure that all shelter protocols are being followed correctly and those who are not following them correctly are held accountable.- Coordinating with Animal Cruelty Investigations team to execute large and small scale animal cruelty seizures and care for and evaluate animals under protective custody.- Orchestration and execution of large scale disaster relief by working with shelters and organizations affected by natural disaster on a national level. - Keeping and maintaining inventory on all medical, retail, and cleaning supplies, and controlled drugs for the Animal Care Center and Rescue Center.- Arranging high volume spays and neuters for all shelter animals.- Creating and maintaining annual budget for all shelter operations.

Manager,  Jan Rees Jones Animal Care Center

Supervised all operations of a brand new animal care center, including over 40 employees. Tasks included:- Overseeing the intake of animals through owner surrenders, transfers from other shelters, Rescue and Investigations compliances and seizures, and owner-requested euthanasias. - Supervising adoption staff, addressing customer concerns, working one-on-one with pet insurance company, following up with adopters to ensure their new pets are happy and healthy.- Working with shelter veterinarian and medical staff to ensure the shelter is up to standards and disease control is practiced at all times.- Working with behavior department to make certain that all animals are behaviorally enriched to decrease cage stress and to implement training and playgroups for animals that need it.- Setting up training for volunteers to become adoption counselors, vet techs, SWAT team members, etc.- Operating Motor Vehicles - trained and approved to drive all vehicles within the organization.- Conducting monthly safety inspections, filling out safety incident reports, and ensuring the staff and volunteers exercise all measures to ensure safety of themselves and animals. - Mixing all controlled drugs for sedation and keeping drug logs on all controlled drugs.

Animal Care Center Supervisor

Led a team of technicians in a high volume spay and neuter clinic. Tasks included:- Supervising and training veterinary technicians to sedate and prep for surgery, monitor animals under anesthesia, assist surgery veterinarians, handle emergencies, and aid in recovery.- Mixing, logging, and storing of controlled drugs.- Customer service and post-operative concerns.
