Dr Mario Hardy is a well-traveled board advisor, investor, mentor, and senior executive with a passion for innovation, technology, investment, and tourism development. With extensive experience in leadership, corporate development, and change management, he has lived and worked on three continents and six countries, establishing an unparalleled network in the private and public sectors, especially in Asia Pacific.

Hardy holds a Doctor of Letters degree in Tourism from Capilano University, a PR Certificate in Public Relations from HEC Montréal, a B.Sc. in Science from the Université de Montréal, and an Executive Program in Exponential Technologies from Singularity University.

Before taking on his present role as Managing Director - Private Family Office at MAP2 - Ventures, he served as Board Advisor at Global Chamber of Business Leaders, Cirium, and Vynn Capital. He also held key leadership positions at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the Canadian International Development Agency, Canadian Airlines International, and People's Express Airlines, among others.

As the former CEO of PATA, a trade association representing the travel and tourism industries in the Asia Pacific region, He developed an unparalleled network in the private and public sectors, especially in Asia Pacific. He also served on several boards of non-profit organizations, venture capital, and startups.

An early adopter who thrives on innovation, Hardy is a sought-after keynote speaker at summits, conferences, seminars, and think tank stages worldwide. He has been interviewed on BBC, CNN, Al Jazeerah, and Bloomberg, particularly in times of crisis.

Some of his notable achievements include receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Capilano University, graduating with an Executive Program in Exponential Technologies from Singularity University, serving as a "Global Ambassador of Peace Through Tourism" by the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism, and helping develop a school for underprivileged children and supporting the development of a Community Based Tourism project in Vietnam.
