Paul Huijbrechts is a highly skilled and accomplished professional with extensive experience in technical design, electrical engineering, and sustainable technologies. He earned a Master of Science in High Voltage Engineering & EMC, and Technology for Sustainable Development from Eindhoven University of Technology. He is the owner of Huijbrechts Electrotechniek, which specializes in the development and construction of electrical installations, new green technologies, and prototypes.

With broad interests ranging from electronics to mechanical interactions, Paul has developed significant expertise in equipment and set-up related to ignition, electrodes, power supplies for pulsed corona and field experiments, as well as high voltage engineering and design of power supplies for gas treatment, high temperature measurements, among other related areas.

As the former Development Engineer at Philips Lightlabs, and a Research Fellow at the Technical University of Eindhoven, he has become an ignition specialist for High-Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps, possessing knowledge on ignition behavior for cold and hot ignition and electrode design. His skills in electrical safety issues NEN3140, design, and building of electrical installations have proven to be invaluable to his work.
