Dave Stordalen is a highly experienced music educator and conductor with over 23 years of experience in public school education in North Dakota and Minnesota. He has extensive experience in wind band conducting and low brass private lesson instruction. Dave is a highly accomplished musician, having studied at the Navy School of Music and North Dakota State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music Education. He also studied for his Masters of Music in Wind Band Conducting at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Dave has served as Executive Director and Conductor of the Mankato Area Youth Symphony, and as Bandmaster of the 34th Infantry Division "Red Bull" Band in Rosemount, MN. He has also been a team member of the Minnesota Music Educator's Association Advocacy Work Group. In addition to his work as a music educator, Dave is also an accomplished trombonist and trumpeter, with experience playing in both the Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet and the Powerhouse rock band.

Dave's excellent work in music education has earned him recognition and many opportunities to serve in various professional organizations. He has worked for Martin Luther College, Fergus Falls Public Schools, Bemidji State University, Kato Public Charter School and Truman Public Schools. He has also held positions as Advocacy Chair for the Minnesota Music Educators Association and been Director of Bands at New Ulm Public Schools, ISD #88, while also functioning as a graduate student at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Dave's work in music education reflects his commitment to developing new and young talent in music, teaching and ensuring musical excellence, and promoting music education in general. He is a father of three amazing children, further reflecting his love of sharing knowledge and passion for music.
