William Nguyen is a highly accomplished theoretical scientist with expertise in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, bioinformatics, computational science, and computer sciences. With a Ph.D. in theoretical and computational chemistry from University of California, Davis, Nguyen has honed his analytical, statistical, and computational skills to develop mathematical and computing methods to understand genetic regulation networks in living organisms. After a postdoctoral fellowship from Alfred P. Sloan and Harvard University, Nguyen co-founded companies such as EdooPAD/VoxyPAD Inc., Kryptono Exchange, and Beowulf Chain, where he spearheaded the development of highly scalable Internet platforms for content sharing, interactive telecommunication, social networking, and finance. Nguyen has specializations in string algorithm/text mining, statistical analysis and data mining, matrix factorization, bioinformatics, massive parallel computing, information theory, graph theory, software engineering, mobile platforms, cloud computing, VoIP, computer, and network security, and Linux operating system. His interests lie in early-stage startups, company formation, business strategy and planning, product design and positioning, and machine learning.
