Calvin French-Owen is a talented software developer and entrepreneur with a background in MongoDB, Node, Java, C#, Python, and Django. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science, serving as an undergraduate researcher at the Viral Communications Group while still in school.
After graduation, Calvin joined LinkedIn as a software developer intern before co-founding Segment, a company that helps businesses collect, clean, and control their customer data. Later, he served as a Visiting Group Partner at Y Combinator, where he advised early-stage startups on scaling and growth strategies.
Calvin is currently a builder at calv.info, where he shares his experience and insights on technology and entrepreneurship. He also volunteers at U.S. Digital Response, helping state and local governments respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
