Brian Warshay is an energy expert with a diverse background in renewable energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, energy policy, and retail and wholesale energy markets. After studying environmental science and energy efficiency at the University of New South Wales, Brian earned his Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering Technology from Cornell University before completing his Master's degree in Engineering Systems and Management at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi.

Brian has held various positions across the renewable energy industry, including Founder of Energy Storage Consulting LLC, Business Development Manager at Tesla, and Lead Analyst at SolarCity. His prior experience also includes working as an Analyst at Bloomberg New Energy Finance and Lux Research in the emerging technology sector.

In his current role as Principal of DERs and Energy Storage at DNV GL, Brian provides consulting services on renewable energy procurement, energy policy, cost-benefit analysis, life cycle assessment, and more. He has contributed to policy proceedings and settlement negotiations on retail rate design for energy storage and vehicle charging infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Brian has demonstrated a strong passion for sustainability and has conducted research on topics such as biofuels, solid waste and recycling, and green building. He has also led teams of software engineers and data scientists to create internal and customer-facing tools to evaluate product and project economics.
