Ivelys Figueroa is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in higher education administration, academic advising, and program development. She earned a B.A. in History-Sociology and an M.A. in Student Personnel and Higher Education Administration from Columbia University, and an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management and an Ed.D. in Higher Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

Figueroa has worked with various organizations at different levels, from serving as the Central Administrative Director for the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania to directing the Smart Connections program at Prep for Prep. She was also a research associate at WFD Consulting, conducted research for the PSC Project on CUNY and Race, and served as an academic skills advisor at the City University of New York School of Professional Studies, among other roles.

Notably, Figueroa has worked in academic advising and support at several universities. She was the director of the College Learning Center at New York University's College of Arts and Science Advising Center and went on to become the director of the Academic Achievement Program at the same institution. She has also held the role of assistant director of the Academic Achievement Program and academic advisor at NYU, as well as academic support roles at Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

Throughout her career, Figueroa has demonstrated her expertise in designing and implementing programs that foster academic success and professional development. She has been a Qualitative Data Analyst for City Year's Young Heroes Program, teaching fellow for the Economics of Colleges and Universities course at Harvard, and an instruction support assistant at the Harvard Institutes for Higher Education. She has also conducted research and analysis, including serving as a qualitative data analyst at City Year, and playing an integral role in the Doctoral Program Office at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
