John Ryan, the founder and CEO of Gigable, has an extensive background in finance, management, and the military. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a BSc in Finance from University College Cork. Additionally, John holds a Certificate in Financial Modelling and Valuation from Udemy Academy and has studied Chinese language and literature.

John began his career as an Equity Research Analyst at Goodbody Stockbrokers before moving on to become a Captain in the Irish Defence Forces. During his time in the military, John completed various courses related to strategic planning, company level tactics, and leadership. In addition, he was the second-highest scoring student in his 85th Cadet Class at The Military College, Defence Force Training Centre, Ireland.

After his time in the military, John joined LoyLap, a financial technology company, as its Chief Financial Officer, Product Manager, and finally, Chief Operations Officer. He also pursued an MBA while working full-time at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. In 2017, John decided to start his own business, Gigable, a platform that connects businesses with high-quality, self-motivated workers.

John's expertise lies in finance, management, leadership, and operations, and his interests include empowering individuals and building strong relationships between workers and businesses. He is driven by the idea that people and businesses can succeed together in the world of work, and he hopes to create opportunities that lead to meaningful identities and better rewards.
