Yael Haar is a multi-faceted individual with an exceptional understanding of food justice, food security, and wellness. With years of experience working in administration, organizing, and community involvement in the non-profit sector, Haar is an excellent communicator, writer, thinker, and problem-solver. Advocating for creative expression, regenerative agriculture and building, health, and wellness, permaculture, and the performing arts, Haar is looking to grow within her community working toward a more regenerative and therapeutic culture in relation to lifestyle, food-system, and creative expression.
Haar studied Global Resource Systems, Sustainable Agriculture, and Community Development at the University of British Columbia. Professional experiences include serving as a Community Organizer at Clean Water Action, Development Assistant at Fresh Roots Urban Farm Society, and Client Service Assistant at Schlesinger Group. Additionally, Haar has worked as a Dancer at RAE Model & Talent Agency, a Program Assistant (Internship) at BC Council for International Cooperation, an Employee Trainer and Cashier at Greens Organic and Natural Market, and a Teachers Assistant at Head-Royce School.
