UX Designer på Levels

I blend strategic design thinking with empathetic user research to create impactful digital health solutions. My role is mainly User Research but also UX design and UX strategy, focusing on delivering user-centric features that drive engagement, conversation and promote healthier living.

Key Responsibilities:

User Research: Utilizes mixed methods research, for example interviews, surveys, usability tests and observations. Presents insights to stakeholders and the company to inform design decisions, drive strategy and buy-in.

UX Design: Based on insights through UXR I led initiatives like the "Barcode Comparison Scanner," which empowers users to make informed nutritional choices through an intuitive comparison tool. Additionally, developed the "Sleep & Nutrition" feature, providing insights into the correlation between sleep patterns and eating habits.

DesignOps implementation: Leverages DesignOps principles to improve workflows and streamline processes, ensuring efficiency and preventing the need to reinvent the wheel. This includs standardizing design practices, cross-functional kick-offs for each initiative, optimizing collaboration and enhancing team productivity.

Cross-functional collaboration: Works closely with product managers, designers, developers and UX writers to foster seamless interactions and ensure solutions are intuitive, scalable and aligned with business goals.

UX maturity: Increases the UX maturity within the team and the company by implementing best practices and through company presentation, which enhanced collaboration, optimized outcomes and buy-in.

Key Achievements:

→ Increased the UX maturity and user awareness of the company through company presentations, user personas etc. 
→ Developed and launched features that significantly boosted user retention and conversion rates.
→ Streamlined design workflows, saving time and improving overall team efficiency.

User Researcher

Worked closely with an internal team of designers. Our primary goal was to centralize the design process and ensure consistency across all publications, thereby avoiding the need for each publication to "reinvent the wheel."

Key Responsibilities:

Design System development: Developed a comprehensive design system to centralize and standardize the design process across multiple brands.

Collaboration: Worked in a close-knit team with an interaction designer and a product designer to achieve cohesive design solutions. Conducted design critique sessions with designers from the publications to inform decisions making. 

Tool utilization: Designed the system using Sketch and supported it with Abstract for version control and collaboration.

Customization: Based the design system on a white-label publication called The Standard, allowing brand designers to adjust and tweak elements and components to suit their specific brand needs.

Brand customization: Enabled brand designers to easily customize and adapt the design system elements to fit their unique brand identities, promoting flexibility while maintaining overall design coherence.

I collaborated with a range of clients from startups to large enterprises. 

Key responsibilities:

Product development: Worked with clients to rapidly develop products and ensure they were ready for market success. I contributed to the entire designprocess; from research to implementation and design reviews with developers. Applied strategic design thinking and user research to create impactful digital solutions.

Key contributions:

Afripods: As a leading podcast platform in Africa, I focused on refining the listener journey for both app and web. I worked closely with the Afripods team to deeply understand the diverse needs of users across different African regions. Where thorough cultural insights were crucial to delivering a product that resonates well with its audience and meets global standards.

A House: Developed a social platform for booking meeting rooms, enhancing connectivity among companies in the building and enabling A House to communicate events and news.

Storage365: Contributed to the user experience design of Storage365, a comprehensive marketplace for all types of storage solutions. I joined the team to conduct usability testing, focusing on streamlining the process of creating ads for renting out storage space and optimizing the search and filtering functions for potential renters.A cross-functional collaboration we identified and resolved usability issues, enhancing the overall user experience and making it easier for users to find or offer storage space.
