Maitri Joy Carmichael is a successful serial entrepreneur with a background in genetics and health research. She has sold two health tech startups (CureTogether and Redasoft) to tech giants 23andMe and Hitachi, respectively. Maitri is currently running her plant-based cuisine online platform, Maitri Cooks, and is a hands-on catalyst for many other startups. The entrepreneur holds an Hon. B. Sc. degree in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto and a Vegan Chef Diploma from The Vegan Chef School. Furthermore, she is a practitioner of zen meditation and has studied UPW, DWD, BM, and LWM at Mastery University.

Maitri has previously held management positions, including Senior Product Manager at 23andMe, Director at The Quantified Self, and Managing Partner at TDAC LLC. The entrepreneur's scientific background includes research work on telomerase at Amgen. Maitri has recently become a Maple Leaf Angels' member and is headed back to Toronto after 15 years in Silicon Valley.
