Adel Malek

Dr. Adel Malek is a highly skilled board-certified neurosurgeon based in Boston, with a focus on treating brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). He has extensive experience in both microsurgical and endovascular neurointerventional treatments. Dr. Malek currently serves as the Director of the Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Division in the Department of Neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center. Additionally, he leads the Laboratory of Cerebrovascular Hemodynamics, where he conducts translational research on brain aneurysms, with a particular interest in understanding the mechanisms behind their development and rupture. Dr. Malek is committed to enhancing the safety of neurointerventional aneurysm treatments through clinical research, leveraging techniques like magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging.
