Bruce Lazarus is a highly accomplished entertainment executive, attorney, and theatre producer. With a proven track record of delivering strong financial results, building dynamic teams, and establishing a corporate culture aligned to the strategy, he has made his mark in the industry. Lazarus interacts effectively with clients, customers, artists, staff, funders, and boards of directors, demonstrating his excellent interpersonal skills.
Lazarus studied drama and theatre arts at the University of Miami, and later pursued his Juris Doctorate in law from Southwestern Law School. He has previously held positions like Executive Director at Samuel French: a Concord Theatricals Company, Entertainment Attorney at Law Office of Bruce Lazarus, Director of Business Affairs at Disney Theatrical Group, Associate at Law Offices of DaSliva and DaSilva, Producer at Bruce Lazarus, and Artist Representative at Bruce Lazaurs Management. His career highlights include producing two Broadway plays, five off-Broadway plays, a full-length motion picture and managing the careers of motion picture and television actors. He is also the lead legal counsel for the original productions of the most successful Broadway musical (Disney’s “The Lion King”) and off-Broadway show (“Blue Man Group”).
In addition, Lazarus enhanced the client service focus of Samuel French by creating groundbreaking programs, providing Dramatist Guild members with free theatre tickets at over 100 participating regional theaters nationwide and free subscriptions to read the plays and musicals in the Samuel French catalog.
