Peter Downs is a veteran advocate for inclusivity, diversity, and child safety in the world of sports and recreation, with 30 years of experience in promoting accessibility for people with disabilities. He is a skilled online learning and resource development professional, and a respected contributor to countless national and international initiatives for promoting fair, safe, and inclusive sports. Aside from his work on inclusivity, Downs is a well-respected figure who played key roles in promoting sports integrity, ethics, and health promotion. He co-founded The Inclusion Club, a not-for-profit health promotion charitable organization, which provides free resources and promotes best practices for inclusivity in sport and physical activity.

With a background in Sport Studies/Business Studies from the University of Roehampton, and an MSc in Adapted Physical Activity from Loughborough University, Peter Downs is a recognized authority in Adapted Physical Activity, Disability Sport, Inclusion, Diversity, and Recreation and Health. His knowledge and expertise led him to serve as the Assistant Director with the Australian Sports Commissions Integrity Unit (2010-2012), former Vice President of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity, and many other notable accomplishments. In 2002, he was awarded the Australian Sports Medal, and he was featured in Bulletin Magazine's Top 10 Smartest People in Sport and NSW Who's Who.
